WOMEN

Local runner Andrea Jarzombek did the same thing she did at the UTSA Invitational two weeks ago by simply running away from the field. Trinity dominated the rest of the competition with their first four runners running as a group for much of the race before SA O'Connor HS grad Emily Loeffler pulled away near the end to grab the silver medal.

MEN

Mathew Bet (Huston-Tillotson) opened up an early lead, but Daniel Castro (TAMU-Kingsville) and David Fuentes (St. Edwards), running side-by-side for much of the race, gradually reeled him back in before Castro surged with an impressive sprint over the final 100m to win the race. Prairie View used a good depth to win a tight team title by 1 point over TAMU-Kingsville.
