Spring Branch Park Course Comments

Tomball

"The course that Spring ISD uses for the Spring Invite is laid out along the perimeter of the park. The first mile is very fast, whereas the back mile is very difficult. The entire race is visible from the roads and it is possible to view most of the race if your in fairly good shape. The last mile tacks advantage of the cul-de-sac at the north end of the park. Huge elevation change, the last 1/2 mile to the finish is all uphill. Some areas you need to watch your footing. This is a great XC course. Times will be slower on this course."

"Smaller (16 teams) meet with a very challenging course (some loose dirt, lots of hills, wooded paths, etc.) The meet is run off very quickly on the Friday before Nike South. Plenty of restrooms, common start/finish area, security, and so on. The only downside would be race viewing for spectators outside of the first and last 800."
